Nonpareils Trading Pin
The pins are in! Please come to PELANCHO'S MEXICAN GRILL this coming Monday or Tuesday (June 28 or 29) between 5 and 7pm to pick up your pins. Pelancho's is located at 1516 Downtown West Blvd. This is just West of West Towne Mall. If you need directions, please call me at 675-5008 or email me at tinpout@chartertn.net. If you can not make either of these days, please get a message to me and we will work out delivery for you. PELANCHO'S has been very kind to let us use a corner of their very busy restaurant for these two days. Please come and have a Margarita and some appetizers or even stay for dinner. I'm very excited that our pins are now a reality and I hope you all enjoy giving them to your friends and RH sisters in other chapters. If you have not pre-ordered pins but would like to buy some, please come by the restaurant between 6 and 7pm either night. As excitement for the 2005 National Convention began, Lee Montgomery asked if we had an official NONPAREILS PIN that could be used for a "trading pin" at the convention where chapters have special pins or mementos to swap with each other. You know the routine, "The person who proposes a RED HAT endeavor becomes the Queen and makes it happen!" LEE MONTGOMERY, PIN UP QUEEN, is off and running and the mock up is EXACTLY what I would envision for a NONPAREILS OFFICIAL PIN.
Our PIN UP QUEEN contacted several production companies and now has this picture of what can be the final product.....it is GORGEOUS. When she said that we need a minimum order of 3000 to have them produced for $1 a piece, the number wasn't so scary at all as that would mean less than 10 pins per member to hit the minimum. I have already said that I will take 50 and ASAP as I  know many people to whom I would LOVE to give a pin. With our Summer travel plans, what fun it will be to have something more than just a calling card to give fellow RED HATTERS who are around every corner! I think we can agree that every NONPAREIL member will enjoy having at least one pin for $1 and seriously, if each member would agree to take a minimum of 10, we could place the order. Attached is the mock up of the pin. I hope that you agree with me how special it is and how great it will be to have our own "trading pin" not only for the convention but for friends along the way up to convention time. The price could  be even less for a really HUGE order but this is a great beginning. PIN UP QUEEN LEE wants you to know that "our" pin has a REAL pin back and not just a stud which so often comes loose or turns sideways. She is also pleased to take your response to see if we can make this a reality. If you could please reply to her ASAP with a realistic number of how many you will take and I HOPE each member will take at least one. (Darn, I wish we had rules so we could say that each member has to have one!!!) Do think about having these as trading pins at the convention and if you are NOT going to the convention, just the fun of having this little RED HAT souvenir to give to friends. I can't wait to send one to Sue Ellen and Linda Murphy as an indication of why we are NONPAREILS (the best, without equal!!!) Now, we need requests for only 2900 more!
